The latest and greatest from moneyStrands

July 13th, 2009

As most of you already know moneyStrands launched three months ago and since then we’ve been hard at work incorporating new features and user feedback. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s new from moneyStrands:

Manual Uploading

Our much-anticipated manual upload capability is now available. The new functionality allows people to manually import their financial data through industry standard .QIF, .QFX, or .CSV data formats file or by simply keying it in. For more information about manual uploading and step-by-step instructions on how it works, visit our blog.

iPhone application

V. 2.0 of our iPhone app is now available! We’ve made significant improvements including:

  • An application specific passcode for your added security
  • New Analysis screen that gives you a visual break down of your spending for the current month by category
  • The ability to edit categories or assign a tag for any transaction
  • New accounts view allows you to see the total balance of your accounts in addition to the individual account balances.

Improved Budgeting

We’ve made significant improvements to our budgeting feature including:

  • Easier editing of existing of budget goals
  • Clearer labeling of budget goals
  • Three color budget status reporting (GREEN if under budget, ORANGE if over budget in relation to the elapsed time in the period and RED if over budget)

Expensr Closure

After acquiring Expensr in April 2008, we’ve been working hard to integrate the core features of this tool into moneyStrands to make the best personal finance management tool on the market. We’re please to announce that we’ve finally made it there! Beginning July 17th, all Expensr users will easily be able to transfer their account data over to moneyStrands and the original site will be retired. For more information visit www.Expensr.com.

Our next generation personal finance site is launched

March 9th, 2009

As those of you following this blog will know NetworthIQ was acquired last year by Strands and ever since the Strands team has been hard at work developing a next generation PFM (Personal Finance Management) site called moneyStrands. We are happy to announce that last week, moneyStrands officially opened up its doors for user registrations.

Over the last year moneyStrands has been inspired by some of the more effective functionality that made NetworthIQ the social personal finance tool of choice for tens of thousands around the globe. moneyStrands has taken the user experience several steps forward by enabling automatic tracking of your financial accounts combined with a very easily customizable and refreshing user interface. More Net Worth tracking features will be coming online in the coming months. We’d like to invite all NetworthIQ users to give moneyStrands a spin and tell us what they think.
