As most of you already know moneyStrands launched three months ago and since then we’ve been hard at work incorporating new features and user feedback. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s new from moneyStrands:
Manual Uploading
Our much-anticipated manual upload capability is now available. The new functionality allows people to manually import their financial data through industry standard .QIF, .QFX, or .CSV data formats file or by simply keying it in. iPhone application
V. 2.0 of our iPhone app is now available! We’ve made significant improvements including:
- An application specific passcode for your added security
- New Analysis screen that gives you a visual break down of your spending for the current month by category
- The ability to edit categories or assign a tag for any transaction
- New accounts view allows you to see the total balance of your accounts in addition to the individual account balances.

Improved Budgeting
We’ve made significant improvements to our budgeting feature including:
- Easier editing of existing of budget goals
- Clearer labeling of budget goals
- Three color budget status reporting (GREEN if under budget, ORANGE if over budget in relation to the elapsed time in the period and RED if over budget)
Expensr Closure
After acquiring Expensr in April 2008, we’ve been working hard to integrate the core features of this tool into moneyStrands to make the best personal finance management tool on the market. We’re please to announce that we’ve finally made it there! Beginning July 17th, all Expensr users will easily be able to transfer their account data over to moneyStrands and the original site will be retired. For more information visit www.Expensr.com.
